Strømpriser is a free online tool for checking and comparing electricity prices based on price zone and date. The application helps users quickly view hourly and daily power prices, making it easier to understand price fluctuations, plan energy consumption, and reduce electricity costs.

Challenges & Solutions
Building “Strømpriser” required balancing technical accuracy with simplicity for everyday users. Electricity prices change hourly, vary by price zone, and depend on market data that must be both reliable and easy to interpret. The main challenge was transforming complex, fluctuating spot-price data into a clear and intuitive experience. This was solved by structuring the application around minimal user input, zone-based logic, and clear summaries such as lowest, highest, and average prices. By prioritizing performance, transparency, and educational context, the tool delivers fast, trustworthy insights without overwhelming users with raw data.
