Project

VOEC Check simplifies online shopping for Norwegian consumers. Identifying whether a store is VOEC-registered and calculates the total parcel cost, including VAT and potential customs duties. Avoid surprises and shop with confidence, knowing exactly what you'll pay.

Project details

A public tool that helps online shoppers in Norway understand if the store they're ordering from is part of the VOEC (VAT On E-Commerce) scheme, and what the total price will be after taxes and customs duties.

By simply entering the name of the online store or VOEC number, users can:

  • Instantly see if the seller is VOEC-registered.
  • Calculate the total price for their parcel including 25% VAT.
  • If the store is not VOEC-registered, it calculates customs duty (toll) based on product type.
  • Avoid hidden fees or surprises when the parcel arrives.
